For this project, students were tasked with creating a website for a chosen social cause. The topic for my website is Orphan Diseases, which is a disease that affects less than 200,000 individuals in the United States, and one which pharmaceuticals companies have yet to produce any drugs for. These diseases are under-funded, which has led to them lagging behind in terms of treatment and technology. The goal for my website is to create awareness for this discrepancy and inspire acts of change.
